Manole Robu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derk van Boxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Derk van Boxel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Manole Robu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derk van Boxel in the 25th minute of play. Taco Zwartkruis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Şelaru in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ferdi van der Struijk hit a great ball. With a little luck, The Valar's Manole Robu got control of the ball when Rien Bakker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Taco Zwartkruis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Şelaru in the 36th minute of play. Ion Otopeanu lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ion Otopeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute of the match Henk Pieters shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manole Robu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pompiliu Bugariu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Taco Zwartkruis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pompiliu Bugariu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pompiliu Bugariu came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Taco Zwartkruis could save by the left post. Francisc Ghionescu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Taco Zwartkruis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Seţeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pompiliu Bugariu got free with Taco Zwartkruis in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Derk van Boxel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After having played for 78 minutes, Pompiliu Bugariu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Valar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pompiliu Bugariu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pompiliu Bugariu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of The Valar booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roelof van Kampen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Taco Zwartkruis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the match, The Valar's goal looked a bit too open when Izaak Struik came free, but Manole Robu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the The Valar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Julias Rascals Apeldoorn.
