Spectators: 7776 (Terracing: 5833, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Monge Cuero kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's goal looked a bit too open when Uxio Legazpi came free, but Jörgen Pihl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Samba Fotboll U21 getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Olov Jönsson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Samba Fotboll U21's zone, Monge Cuero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Pihl came out of the goal and Monge Cuero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jörgen Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monge Cuero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Björklund came free, but Xavier Sanjurjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match Boris Wennerquist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xavier Sanjurjo skillfully saved the ball. Uxio Legazpi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Monge Cuero in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörgen Pihl saved Samba Fotboll U21 from getting behind. Benjamin Unzueta hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Örjan Dahlquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Victoro Besteo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's protests and gave Victoro Besteo a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Eliasson in the 39th minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Xavier Sanjurjo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörgen Pihl came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Monge Cuero. But to his dismay, Monge Cuero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Xavier Sanjurjo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Björklund in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bertil Kielberg to make the kick off. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xavier Sanjurjo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Jönsson in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato booed when Samba Fotboll U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Wennerquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monge Cuero was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xencio Rebollar during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Xencio Rebollar hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Jönsson came free, but Xavier Sanjurjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Sanjurjo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olov Jönsson's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Benjamin Unzueta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Monge Cuero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Pihl having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xurxo Mathey got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Monge Cuero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Sanjurjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Jönsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
