Damaso Playo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jan Byczewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC GIDLE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vélez Juniors the free kick. A collision led to FC GIDLE getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Kacper Kissel hit a great ball. Gustaw Bronicki kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jan Byczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Playo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 32 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Confesor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vélez Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GIDLE the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Arnulfo Confesor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes FC GIDLE got a freekick which was hit by Filip Kolano. 35 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Bronicki came free, but Ulises Sandaili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Byczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ulises Sandaili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaw Bronicki in the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Juan Galoer. Guaberto Maraman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Byczewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Vélez Juniors were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobald Raschke made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Guaberto Maraman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Byczewski was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Amancio Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnulfo Confesor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vélez Juniors's Anacleto Eztebe was substituted for Damaso Playo. Ulises Sandaili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobald Raschke in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute Teobald Raschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Sandaili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Teobald Raschke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulises Sandaili. Vélez Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teobald Raschke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 69 minutes, Amancio Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Byczewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FC GIDLE's Janusz Starogardzki got a free kick in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Cristofol got free with Jan Byczewski in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anacleto Eztebe struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jan Byczewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vélez Juniors. When the final whistle sounded Vélez Juniors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC GIDLE.
