Maicon Guimarães started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Gláuber Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 12 minutes, Edgard Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guadalupe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuca Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Soeiro in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Dagoberto Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Guadalupe FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sandrinho de Amorim hit a great ball. Guadalupe FC's Wellington de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Sampaio in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Guadalupe FC booed when DIPLOMATA FC PAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beto Matos got free with Samuca Cunha in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Doriva Hoffmann got a free kick in the 28th minute. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Samuca Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting a goal against them. Wellington de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Edgard Custódio made the kick off in the second half. Doriva Hoffmann hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Cunha. Samuca Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon da Silva in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, DIPLOMATA FC PAB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. Wellington de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Guimarães in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Guadalupe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Perez came free, but Wellington de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Sandrinho de Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Samuca Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Luan Gaspar got a free kick in the 71st minute. Samuca Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Ribeiro in the 72nd minute of play. Emerson Ribeiro scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuca Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when Guadalupe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Maicon Guimarães ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wellington de Carvalho. Wellington de Carvalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 89th match minute, DIPLOMATA FC PAB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Perez to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Edgard Custódio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuca Cunha. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Custódio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Guadalupe FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
