The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uwe Nwachukwu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Fazekas in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that János Fazekas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Nwachukwu was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Ábel Szentesi made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Jerry Moerman sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Moerman got free with Ábel Szentesi in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hungarian Olympic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerry Moerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper Ábel Szentesi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goal looked a bit too open when János Fazekas came free, but Uwe Nwachukwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cedric Van Cleijnenbreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Moerman got free with Ábel Szentesi in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. János Fazekas kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jerry Moerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Draconia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Moerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ábel Szentesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Csaba Joó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Nwachukwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitri Parmentier kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hungarian Olympic's Ábel Szentesi got control of the ball when Jerry Moerman tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Csaba Joó fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The supporters of FC Draconia booed when Hungarian Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. János Fazekas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Hungarian Olympic's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Moerman came free, but Ábel Szentesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when István Császár stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Jerry Moerman notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hungarian Olympic's Ábel Szentesi. Ábel Szentesi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Uwe Nwachukwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Császár in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Jerry Moerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Draconia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Moerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Moerman in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ábel Szentesi prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
