The Defensores de Fasano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rolando Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eber Ludueña in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Lauro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miguel Merentiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Joaquin Lauro made a huge save. After some careless play in the Abuba Akotonon FC defense, Alberto Joanes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingos Iaki. The Abuba Akotonon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Iaki should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the game, Rolando Estevez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abuba Akotonon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores de Fasano the free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Clodoveo Formerio could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Domingos Iaki however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Teodosio Solustiano took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Domingos Iaki to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Defensores de Fasano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Leoiar didn't get a good kick on the ball.
