Spectators: 7683 (Terracing: 5763, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) Alfredo Fero started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd match minute, Raining Blood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Arantes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Enrique Lekubegi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Santos Ioritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Carlos Augusto Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leonel Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Raining Blood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Coelho couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Leonel Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raining Blood's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Lekubegi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Lekubegi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st match minute, Raining Blood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Braga to maneuver through the defense. If Henrique Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Coelho was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Argi to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match Bernardinho de Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Lekubegi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Raining Blood made a substitution. Dé Mangueira replaced Paulo Renato do Vale. Enrique Lekubegi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Matorin in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Arantes came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Coelho in the 67th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Gaufred. 73 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Matorin came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Trancoso hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Santos Ioritz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Coelho's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. Leonel Coelho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Raining Blood's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
