Spectators: 7717 (Terracing: 5789, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 154) FC BaLiSt's Emil Șeimeanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Leontin Vâlcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Mussoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Olazabal hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Franco Mussoll was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Marius Paveliuc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marius Paveliuc really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Franco Mussoll didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergiu Marin went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Zunbeltz Inchaurdi came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Inter de Guayaquil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zunbeltz Inchaurdi couldn't finish the play. Horaţiu Deleanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Balbas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes FC BaLiSt got a freekick which was hit by Marius Paveliuc. If Emil Șeimeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Vâlcu came free, but Franco Mussoll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Mussoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Vâlcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Lorenzo Secadura got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Marius Paveliuc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Franco Mussoll made a huge save. 40 minutes into the game, Leontin Vâlcu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franco Mussoll. Leontin Vâlcu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Horaţiu Deleanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelino Balbas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 55 minute of play. FC BaLiSt's Horaţiu Deleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Balbas in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Lorenzo Secadura got a free kick in the 67th minute. FC BaLiSt made a substitution. Pavel Contra replaced Aron Constantiniu. Leonardo Olazabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Horaţiu Deleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Șeimeanu in the 74th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Franco Mussoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Juan-Carlos Alamon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonardo Olazabal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horaţiu Deleanu. That made the score 4-2 in the 77 minute of play. After some careless play in the FC BaLiSt defense, Marcelino Balbas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Deleanu. The FC BaLiSt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Deleanu should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Emil Șeimeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franco Mussoll. Inter de Guayaquil FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Șeimeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. When Inter de Guayaquil FC's Juan-Carlos Alamon in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC BaLiSt's goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd minute, Marius Paveliuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zunbeltz Inchaurdi got free with Horaţiu Deleanu in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Inter de Guayaquil FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC BaLiSt.
