Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabri Fouquet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abad Teruel, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Leal Buenafuente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabri Fouquet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abad Teruel in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Club Deportivo Polonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Barral to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Andrei Fuentes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thibaut Mazieres. In the 25th minute, Dominique Virapin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrei Fuentes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when Club Deportivo Polonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abad Teruel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jean-Michel Blandin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrei Fuentes. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. After 42 played minutes La Pointe Courte got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Michel Blandin. After 43 minutes, Simon Boivin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Pointe Courte and the Club Deportivo Polonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simon Boivin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Bermudo Calvo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sabri Fouquet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Club Deportivo Polonia made a substitution. Feliberto Climent replaced Adolfo Romero. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bermudo Calvo was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Jean-Michel Blandin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Pointe Courte and the Club Deportivo Polonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabri Fouquet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrei Fuentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Antoine Mariette in the 65th minute of play. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. In the 74th match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathis Castella to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Deportivo Polonia's Abad Teruel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sabri Fouquet. That made the score 2-1 after 78 minutes of play. In the 84th minute Abad Teruel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Fouquet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
