The supporters of American Airlines booed when La Pointe Courte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yann Segond didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Joesph Watts got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Yann Segond sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vern McAllister skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to American Airlines getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Chase Brock hit a great ball. La Pointe Courte's Jean-Michel Blandin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vern McAllister but with some difficulty. Bradley Cerna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thibaut Mazieres's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vern McAllister firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cory Ludwig managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Airlines's supporters rose to their feet, but Cory Ludwig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabri Fouquet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Ogden made a kick off. If Colby Sherwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thibaut Mazieres to maneuver through the defense. Stanton Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabri Fouquet having to interfere. La Pointe Courte's Pierre-Antoine Mariette got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. La Pointe Courte's Mathis Castella was substituted for Yann Segond. Vern McAllister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Antoine Mariette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Thibaut Mazieres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vern McAllister was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La Pointe Courte had won after a very even match.
