Nico Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Secco to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jumeuc Futebol Clube. Aníbal Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Inge, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Santiago Inge came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Inge couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ booed when Jumeuc Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jumeuc Futebol Clube's zone, Claudio Baumer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal Arruda came out of the goal and Claudio Baumer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Aníbal Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Quirce didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 67th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Jeremias Quirce ran dejectedly back to his position. In the 68th match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Guerra to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes, Claudio Baumer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ and the Jumeuc Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregorio Heriberto's late challenge caught a Jumeuc Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Edson Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Edson Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Cordaryal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute of the game, Gregorio Heriberto landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Dagoberto Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jumeuc Futebol Clube's protests and gave Dagoberto Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ made a substitution. Jorge Sasoin replaced Gregorio Heriberto.
