Spectators: 7859 (Terracing: 5895, Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 156) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Clive Chien-Kwan made the kick off which started today's match. Mauro Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clive Chien-Kwan in the 9th minute of the match. With his leg Mauro Cordearo managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Oakham's Clive Chien-Kwan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. SOUTH THUNDER's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Clive Chien-Kwan scored to the left of an out of position Mauro Cordearo, making the score, 1-0. In the 25th minute Clive Chien-Kwan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clive Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Clive Chien-Kwan put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Cordearo. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Devan in the 40th minute of play. Jerry Chong came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by SOUTH THUNDER's Aquiles Jerold. But to his dismay, Aquiles Jerold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Ruberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clive Chien-Kwan in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mark Devan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mauro Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goal looked a bit too open when Clive Chien-Kwan came free, but Mauro Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clive Chien-Kwan in the 61st minute of play. Jerry Chong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Bixintxo in the 62nd minute of play. When Oakham's Clive Chien-Kwan in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SOUTH THUNDER's goalie prevented a goal. In the 70th match minute, SOUTH THUNDER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Jerold to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Sotero charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Sotero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aquiles Jerold, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mauro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Devan in the 79th minute of play. When Oakham's Clive Chien-Kwan in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SOUTH THUNDER's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the game, Aquiles Jerold was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOUTH THUNDER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oakham the free kick. Clive Chien-Kwan might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Cordearo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clive Chien-Kwan ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the SOUTH THUNDER players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oakham.
