With a little luck, Independente FC's Nestor Quintal got control of the ball when Marius Pârcălab tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeu Guerra hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Dumitru Drăghici took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Nestor Quintal to make any attempt to save it. After 44 played minutes, Independente FC's Marcel Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristinel Papadima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independente FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Gonçalves in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristinel Papadima saved Rasnita from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marius Pârcălab made a kick off. In the 54th minute Matei Dacian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Drăghici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Rasnita's Ionuț Costache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristinel Papadima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 84th minute of play. Nestor Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Pârcălab, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Rasnita's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
