In the 15th minute Maximiliano Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Iturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Eugenio Checa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmiro Marcones. Al-Femur FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugenio Checa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Barros in the 25th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Claudio Iturri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximiliano Barros made a kick off. Claudio Iturri was a little too slow when Placido Xabel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-3.
