Generoso Indalecio started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Kiko Cearense notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nouvelle Vague's Gualterio Socorro. Gualterio Socorro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tobias Ourente hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu de Castro. The long shot by Tobias Ourente in the 12th minute really tested Chicão Oliveira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Nouvelle Vague's Generoso Indalecio in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualterio Socorro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliseu de Castro's late challenge caught a Nouvelle Vague's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseu de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trindade Atlético Club's zone, Generoso Indalecio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Oliveira came out of the goal and Generoso Indalecio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nouvelle Vague were furious when Rene Mitxaut was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nouvelle Vague fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kiko Cearense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Roque Urtats who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trindade Atlético Club's Chicão Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramon Damario charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Damario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Nouvelle Vague got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Damario. Gualterio Socorro made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Carlos Veiga sent off a good shot on target. Ramon Damario might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Damario ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eliseu de Castro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. Eliseu de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Trindade Atlético Club's Chicão Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Urtats in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Roque Urtats had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Oliveira. Trindade Atlético Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roque Urtats was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Joseph couldn't finish the play. Tobias Ourente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Oliveira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Joseph in the 83rd minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Chicão Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Socorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko Cearense in the 84th minute of play.
