Spectators: 7674 (Terracing: 5756, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ezequiel Prata started the match with the kick off. Elano Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Santana having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Cerezo in the 6th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Caetano Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Breno de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferreira Lopes MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Ferrari the free kick. A collision led to Ferreira Lopes MZC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Breno de Moraes hit a great ball. Kurt Rosen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, S.C. Ferrari's Beto Guedes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caetano Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ferreira Lopes MZC's zone, Carlos Eduardo Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caetano Santana came out of the goal and Carlos Eduardo Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, S.C. João Carlos Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Beto Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Caetano Santana. Ferreira Lopes MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 42 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Berger. Vivaldo Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Beto Guedes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caetano Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half S.C. Ferrari were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Beto Guedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Ferrari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Caetano Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Paraibano in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Caetano Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Guedes. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Aloísio Mangueira replaced Vivaldo Cerezo. S.C. Ferrari's Váldson do Vale was substituted for Kléberson Sabóia. Caetano Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Guedes in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play, S.C. Ferrari's Beto Guedes made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, S.C. Ferrari's Adilson Quintal got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Willian Paes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Caetano Santana. That made the score 0-8 in the 87 minute of play. Elano Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Caetano Santana made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded S.C. Ferrari left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ferreira Lopes MZC.
