After 14 played minutes Navalito got a freekick which was hit by Arnau Venegas. In the 45th minute of the match Jairo Lleir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Dundan skillfully saved the ball. Silvio Cordairo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnau Venegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Elpidio Ado charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elpidio Ado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Navalito booed when Pilar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Ado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Juan Luis Maralla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Silvio Cordairo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gregorio Ferrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvio Cordairo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salbatore Eslava in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnau Venegas came free, but Silvio Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Arnau Venegas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Cordairo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Teodosio Asier hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Teodoro Dundan was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Ramiro Bertran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ramiro Bertran really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Teodoro Dundan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Bertran in the 94th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Ramiro Bertran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Dundan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pilar FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Navalito.
