Spectators: 7855 (Terracing: 5892, Seating: 1807, VIP seats: 156) In the 4th minute, Llorienzo Palacios ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bart Greenwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 7 minutes of play, Salud y República's Pacho Mondejar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bart Greenwood was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leon Burr hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Bart Greenwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pacho Mondejar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Pacho Mondejar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salud y República's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pacho Mondejar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvino Galnares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desmond Rowell, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Lawrence Smart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvino Galnares having to interfere. Alvino Galnares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Marks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart Greenwood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pacho Mondejar's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Pacho Mondejar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Greenwood came out of the goal and Pacho Mondejar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes Salud y República got a freekick which was hit by Abdika Borbon. Pacho Mondejar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Bart Greenwood made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Juvenal Noya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kris Marks made a kick off. 62 minutes into the game, Pacho Mondejar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bart Greenwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Salud y República's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rodrick Orlinsky 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. Leon Burr kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bart Greenwood came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Salud y República's Pacho Mondejar. But to his dismay, Pacho Mondejar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Roben Reyes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes, Abdika Borbon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salud y República and the Santos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Salud y República's Abdika Borbon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Alvino Galnares made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Kris Marks sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Pacho Mondejar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bart Greenwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. When Salud y República's Llorienzo Palacios in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Salud y República's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
