Brice Leach was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Radomil Szostak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Varennes's zone, Radomil Szostak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brice Leach came out of the goal and Radomil Szostak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Varennes made a substitution. Loic Deal replaced Brenton Carrasco. Brice Leach stood somewhat misplaced when Radomil Szostak came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 42 minute. Brice Leach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Szostak, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Szostak in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute Lee Coffman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugon Derlanga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee gave Stasio Balkiewicz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Varennes booed when Zryw Samsonów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stasio Balkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
