Spectators: 7779 (Terracing: 5835, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bebeto da Silva got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Agua Santa's Dadá Moura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nando Antunes. Nando Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Dadá Moura notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of F.Salgado F.C.'s Nando Antunes. Nando Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. F.Salgado F.C.'s Samuel da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Baltazar Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Agua Santa's zone, Bebeto da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Mota came out of the goal and Bebeto da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Samuel da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jaime Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.Salgado F.C.'s Nando Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Trancoso in the 55th minute of play. With 58 minutes on the clock, Dedê Mendes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave F.Salgado F.C. a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joaquim Sousa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Agua Santa's Tomé Mota. 2-1. 71 minutes into the game, Baltazar Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.Salgado F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agua Santa the free kick. Agua Santa made a substitution. Enrique Abreu replaced Ernani Valladares. After 84 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Pinho. Tomé Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto da Silva in the 85th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Lima during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes F.Salgado F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Souza. Lino Esteves hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Agua Santa players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
