The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Taha Nazım hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Selmi Oral took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Inculeț. Emil Inculeț dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's kaya Tublek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Cutieru in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Cutieru in the 10th minute of play forced KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's goalkeeper kaya Tublek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Kutsi Tuğaltan. If Oğuzer Uzcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV got a freekick which was hit by Costel Vlas. Ferdi Barkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 25 played minutes KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ got a freekick which was hit by Engin Candar. After a defensive mix-up in MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's zone, Ferdi Barkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Inculeț came out of the goal and Ferdi Barkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Inculeț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selmi Oral, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Osman Onay hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Vlad Arsenescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. kaya Tublek came out and tried to block the shot, but Vlad Arsenescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's Engin Candar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Engin Candar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Engin Candar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's Engin Candar got a free kick in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdi Barkan to make the kick off. Irinel Birișu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's Tolga Şinasi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Emil Inculeț but with some difficulty. Osman Onay hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Tolga Şinasi might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Inculeț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tolga Şinasi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernest Bostan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Emil Inculeț got control of the ball when Ferdi Barkan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 minutes, Tolga Şinasi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ and the MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Metin Ceyhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's zone, Traian Opaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. kaya Tublek came out of the goal and Traian Opaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tolga Şinasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdi Barkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdi Barkan struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Emil Inculeț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ. After having played for 80 minutes, Tolga Şinasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tolga Şinasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Boldișor in the 84th minute of play forced KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's goalkeeper kaya Tublek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ defense, Vlad Arsenescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of kaya Tublek. The KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that kaya Tublek should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the match, KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's goal looked a bit too open when Vlad Arsenescu came free, but kaya Tublek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Emil Inculeț, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans cheered their team off the field, for while KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
