When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thiago da Silva made a kick off. Damian Raphael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Racing Club booed when ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldinho Nogueira hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, Damaso Orlin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Luiz Fernando Matos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Thiago da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Galeno came out of the goal and Thiago da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel Saldanha made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Haroldo Mineiro however managed to control. In the 94th minute Damaso Orlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Racing Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
