Florencio Sesuldo came out of the goal and Jonathan Beuneker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Silvio Sabino fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sacro Balompié's protests and gave Silvio Sabino a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sacro Balompié's Silvio Sabino got a free kick in the 7th minute. De Ontembare Leeuwen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Gogo Felo scored to the left of an out of position Geale Lyle, making the score, 1-0. Boudewijn van Galen kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Jonathan Beuneker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitchell Terpstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Sesuldo having to interfere. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when Sacro Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Felo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sacro Balompié's Florencio Sesuldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitchell Terpstra in the 30th minute of play. Geale Lyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemesio Rodriguez in the 32nd minute. A collision led to De Ontembare Leeuwen getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gerben Rogaars hit a great ball. With a little luck, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Geale Lyle got control of the ball when Desiderio Cordarryl tried to sneak it across the goal line. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Geale Lyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save De Ontembare Leeuwen from getting a goal against them. Nemesio Rodriguez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Geale Lyle made a huge save. After 40 minutes, Gogo Felo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sacro Balompié and the De Ontembare Leeuwen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gogo Felo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Mitchell Terpstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gogo Felo made a kick off. Geale Lyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Felo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Sacro Balompié's Desiderio Cordarryl got a free kick in the 54th minute. Boudewijn van Galen lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 56th minute, Boudewijn van Galen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geale Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sacro Balompié booed when De Ontembare Leeuwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerben Rogaars didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sacro Balompié's Genaro Leguizamón was substituted for Nemesio Rodriguez. After 67 played minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen got a freekick which was hit by Gerben Rogaars. Geale Lyle came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Sacro Balompié's Gogo Felo. But to his dismay, Gogo Felo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Felo in the 73rd minute of play forced De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Geale Lyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Gogo Felo made a precise shot to the right of Geale Lyle. De Ontembare Leeuwen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Gogo Felo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geale Lyle having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Felo came free, but Geale Lyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Peter Bosz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Sabino. During the 95th minute of the match Gogo Felo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gogo Felo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 96th minute, Gogo Felo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sacro Balompié's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
