A well-hit corner resulted in Andres Mazuste heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. One of Atletas Campesinos F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Luganeros AFC:s goal. After some careless play in the Atletas Campesinos F.C. defense, Adrian Efren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Segundo Jaunti. The Atletas Campesinos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Jaunti should have stopped the shot. Christian Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Pelagius in the 23rd minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustaquio Jakobe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Abel Fanuco took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Segundo Jaunti to make any attempt to save it. In the 54th minute, Adrian Efren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luganeros AFC's Adrian Efren got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Evaristo Pelagius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Pelagius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Luganeros AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Luganeros AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
