Antonello Doris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlomagno Ortiz in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Bianco Cusumano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonello Doris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Vicente in the 17th minute of play. Cristoforo Arpaia charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristoforo Arpaia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Atletico Benevento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoforo Arpaia to maneuver through the defense. Antonello Doris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Vicente in the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlomagno Ortiz got free with Antonello Doris in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Atletico Benevento's Ettore Giordani got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Alarico Borrás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonello Doris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Zunbeltz Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Mei in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Vicente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Mei during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Atletico Benevento getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Alex Mei hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Zunbeltz Soto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Cipriano Vicente put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Antonello Doris. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
