Fernando Bünzli helped the player get up and apologised. Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's Eleuterio Jakue was substituted for Evaristo Domiku. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inter de Chillán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Clemencín Moltedo had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Txema's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 28th minute, Javier Casas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florencio Berbiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Florencio Berbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 31st minute of the match. Eleuterio Jakue charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleuterio Jakue the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's Eleuterio Jakue got a free kick in the 36th minute. Miguel Txema kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes, Inter de Chillán's Aitor Vilu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florencio Berbiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter de Chillán reached it. In the 42nd minute, Efrain Baladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Frasco kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Jorge Valdivia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnulfo Giraldo to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's Arnulfo Giraldo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Jorge Valdivia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Berbiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Arnulfo Giraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Inter de Chillán's Jorge Valdivia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florencio Berbiz. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florencio Berbiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's Florencio Berbiz got control of the ball when Adam Badiola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Efrain Baladi might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemencín Moltedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Baladi ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the match, Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Ross came free, but Florencio Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Giraldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemencín Moltedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnulfo Giraldo ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Inter de Chillán could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb throughout the match.
