An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Amílton de Salles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Guillen Ubiña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruy Prado in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruy Prado to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sporting Buceo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
