Domingo Guipuzkoa started the match with the kick off. Gustavo Lon's late challenge caught a New York Giants's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Lon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gustavo Lon hit a great ball. Yoeri Van den Brul hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Gustavo Lon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tibo Kortens firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopold Verbraecken in the 15th minute of play forced CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11's goalkeeper Pablo Ostadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoachim Seveneijns, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Pablo Ostadar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoachim Seveneijns in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, New York Giants's Yoachim Seveneijns got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the New York Giants defense, Filomeno Remir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tibo Kortens. The New York Giants fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tibo Kortens should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Guipuzkoa in the 28th minute of play forced New York Giants's goalkeeper Tibo Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cederic Kest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New York Giants's Tibo Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Guipuzkoa in the 34th minute of play. Gustavo Lon took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tibo Kortens. Tibo Kortens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 38th match minute, New York Giants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renzo Smets to maneuver through the defense. Domingo Guipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tibo Kortens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Venancio Mazuste managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Mazuste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tibo Kortens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yoachim Seveneijns was the one to do the kick off. Pablo Ostadar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yoachim Seveneijns in the 53rd minute. New York Giants were furious when Miguel Verheyden was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 59 played minutes New York Giants got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Verheyden. Tibo Kortens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Mazuste in the 60th minute of the match. Cederic Kest who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Pablo Ostadar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Gustavo Lon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Ostadar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cederic Kest in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Lon in the 71st minute of play forced New York Giants's goalkeeper Tibo Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bill Dierickx hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Domingo Guipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11's Natalio Victoro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, New York Giants's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Lon came free, but Tibo Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopold Verbraecken during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to New York Giants getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Leopold Verbraecken hit a great ball. Domingo Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New York Giants's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
