After 4 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Vincenzo Grifoll. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Günter Wienhold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Răuțchi in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Berevoescu came free, but Günter Wienhold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincenzo Grifoll came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sabin Dinescu could save by the left post. A4p Dejani's Sabin Dinescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save A4p Dejani from getting a goal against them. In the 38thth minute of the game Fabien Grub who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A4p Dejani's Sabin Dinescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sabin Dinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabien Grub in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dejan Leuschner in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Dinescu saved A4p Dejani from getting behind. In the 44th minute, Iacob Malcoci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabin Dinescu was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Vincenzo Grifoll capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vincenzo Grifoll really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantin Fința stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jakob Dubinski's late challenge caught a A4p Dejani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Werner Geißler came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Geißler couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Fabien Grub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute, Samuel Schweiger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. made a substitution.
