Club Atlético de Newell's Spike Lambley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Mattos in the 13th minute of play. Duda Alagoano took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Spike Lambley. Spike Lambley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Waldir Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Floresta Club U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Macedo couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Didi Mattos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Spike Lambley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 96th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Delaney to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Floresta Club U18 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético de Newell throughout the match.
