The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Clóvis Rocha put in a rough tackle. Douglas Bastos, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dudu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Bertassi in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, Scarlet Speedster's Júnior da Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Paraibano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nestor Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Guimarães in the 15th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Moura to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Jorginho Peres made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Paraibano. Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Jorginho Peres took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Paraibano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Aparecido during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Scarlet Speedster's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexandre Vasconcelos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

David Fernandez scored 1-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dudu de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Miguel Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. João Pedro Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu de Toledo having to interfere. Scarlet Speedster's Dudu de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Bertassi in the 94th minute of play. Scarlet Speedster's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
