A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Maicon Baiano hit a great ball. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Vaz in the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Egídio Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adriano Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match, Vito Freire got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cláudio Taffarel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alfredo Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Soares in the 30th minute of the match. Maicon Baiano struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alfredo Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TAQUARI FC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Adriano Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. TAQUARI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egídio Vaz scored 1-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cláudio Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee showed Didi Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nova Era were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
