The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sotil Saavedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Ternes in the 2nd minute of play. After 8 minutes, Andre-Yann Kahofer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FV Wienerwald and the Bomseral FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bomseral FC booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre-Yann Kahofer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, FV Wienerwald's goalkeeper Norman-Alexander Wellmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Archibaldo Paz. In the 13th minute Hartmut Wannemacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotil Saavedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andre-Yann Kahofer hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Iraunkor Darraña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman-Alexander Wellmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norman-Alexander Wellmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balasi Rodezno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bomseral FC booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Gottschling didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Andre-Yann Kahofer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre-Yann Kahofer in the 37th minute of play forced Bomseral FC's goalkeeper Sotil Saavedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Balasi Rodezno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bomseral FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balasi Rodezno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luca Ternes to make the kick off. Sotil Saavedra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Ternes in the 56th minute. If Iraunkor Darraña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Hartmut Wannemacher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FV Wienerwald's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bomseral FC the free kick. Hartmut Wannemacher kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Bomseral FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FV Wienerwald for a fine match.
