Toninho Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Cordarrell having to interfere. Durval Campidelis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Siro Cordarrell was a little too slow when Rubens Alcântara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th minute of the match, Toninho Prestes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Siro Cordarrell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Willian Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Osmundo went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Rubens Alcântara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Siro Cordarrell. The goal made the score 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Lúcio Maranhense made the kick off in the second half. Siro Cordarrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Claudio Etcheverry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Massa having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Rubens Alcântara notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of MILAN COLOMBIANO's Siro Cordarrell. Siro Cordarrell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MILAN COLOMBIANO made a substitution. Silvio Luix replaced Paulo Diaz.
