After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Aníbal Paes got a free kick in the 38th minute. Domingo Belasko made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Joaquim Marques sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Joaquim Marques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Domingo Belasko. The goal made the score 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Adhemar Ribeiro put in a rough tackle. Várzea F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Crottos Crotters F.C. for a fine match.
