The audience thought a goal was coming when Egun Galan got free with Bianco Garvetti in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cisco Rubial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after AFC United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christoffer Pihl took the corner. In the 32nd minute Hampus Ekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cisco Rubial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The AFC United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars-Erik Fredriksson made a kick off. After 51 played minutes US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Hedvall. 52 minutes into the match, US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Alda came free, but Bianco Garvetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cisco Rubial came out of the goal and Christoffer Pihl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs's Bianco Garvetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egun Galan in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, AFC United's Matthew Vall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bianco Garvetti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs's Magne Näfver was substituted for Andreas Kolberg. US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs made a substitution.
