When Tolek Zieba fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Modlau's protests and gave Tolek Zieba a yellow card for diving instead. Tolek Zieba hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Modlau's goalie and right to Alberto Alda. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Modlau's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 21st match minute, Modlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyprian Bochinski to maneuver through the defense. Cisco Rubial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolek Zieba in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Mateusz Pryputnicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Modlau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Walery Rekawiczka came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Modlau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walery Rekawiczka couldn't finish the play. Stasio Starogardzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egun Galan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateusz Pryputnicki's late challenge caught a United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateusz Pryputnicki helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Modlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Pryputnicki to maneuver through the defense. Matthew Vall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Stasio Starogardzki made a huge save. Walery Rekawiczka kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Gilen Martioda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Stasio Starogardzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dobromir Rzeszutko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Egun Galan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind United FC's goalkeeper Cisco Rubial, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto Alda hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Egun Galan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stasio Starogardzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Witomir Wojno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of United FC booed when Modlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walery Rekawiczka didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Egun Galan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 89th minute Dobromir Rzeszutko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cisco Rubial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
