An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Pinheiro in the 40th minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Rômulo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Alberto Freire fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's protests and gave Alberto Freire a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Luiz Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Prata in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Gil Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
