After a rather tough play, Karavela's Luís Domingues got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Denílson Catarinense came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Reko-Recko 03™'s Cipriano de Toledo. But to his dismay, Cipriano de Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Karavela's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Trigo came free, but Denílson Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Svali Bollason sped through Karavela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Denílson Catarinense. When Reko-Recko 03™'s Virgílio Trigo in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karavela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th minute Svali Bollason suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Sílvio Luís Barral's late challenge caught a Reko-Recko 03™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luís Barral helped the player get up and apologised. Reko-Recko 03™ made a substitution. Camilo Fresnedo replaced Svali Bollason. Denílson Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano de Toledo in the 20th minute of play. Camilo Fresnedo scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute, Virgílio Trigo made a precise shot to the right of Denílson Catarinense. Karavela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 27th minute Camilo Fresnedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Virgílio Trigo made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denílson Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denílson Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Fresnedo in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 39th minute of play forced Karavela's goalkeeper Denílson Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Trigo got free with Denílson Catarinense in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute Camilo Fresnedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dino Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th match minute, Karavela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Domingues to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Camilo Fresnedo took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Denílson Catarinense to make any attempt to save it. Reko-Recko 03™ made a substitution. Abel de Almeida replaced Gilmar Prestes. Denílson Catarinense came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Reko-Recko 03™'s Camilo Fresnedo. But to his dismay, Camilo Fresnedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Camilo Fresnedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Denílson Catarinense made a huge save. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Karavela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cipriano França was slow to take the kick. During this time Reko-Recko 03™'s players had a chance to rest.
