Tomás Lucila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmuts Picukāns, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiadores's zone, Qu Ling Lin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Urbasa came out of the goal and Qu Ling Lin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Helmuts Picukāns to strike the kick off in the second half. Silver Play 2's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
