Zandarin FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the game, Zico Zellier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jimeno Cilio. Zico Zellier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Cilio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 15th minute of play forced Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Jimeno Cilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimeno Cilio was a little too slow when Zico Zellier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 3-0. Jimeno Cilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zico Zellier, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jimeno Cilio. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Souza in the 30th minute of play. With his leg Jimeno Cilio managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when GuateFortín's Zico Zellier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 34 minutes into the game, Zico Zellier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jimeno Cilio. Zico Zellier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Cido Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Máximo Perrone in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Cilio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máximo Perrone in the 48th minute of play forced Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Jimeno Cilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The supporters of GuateFortín booed when Zandarin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Máximo Perrone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Cilio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Máximo Perrone managed to get in a good position for a shot. GuateFortín's supporters rose to their feet, but Máximo Perrone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Cilio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa was substituted for Angel Alvarenga. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Jimeno Cilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Zandarin FC defense, Máximo Perrone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimeno Cilio. The Zandarin FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Cilio should have stopped the shot. Máximo Perrone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimeno Cilio having to make a save. After 82 minutes, Zico Zellier made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zandarin FC's Jimeno Cilio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Zellier in the 84th minute of play forced Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Jimeno Cilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Máximo Perrone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimeno Cilio was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Jimeno Cilio came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa. But to his dismay, Heriberto Correa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. When the referee ended the match the GuateFortín players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
