Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daníel Dal Bello in the 7th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Aloísio Salgado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruben Sánchez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 10 minutes into the match, Magic is Back's goal looked a bit too open when Daníel Dal Bello came free, but Ruben Sánchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perivaldo Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Sánchez having to interfere. When Oiteiras's Daníel Dal Bello in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Magic is Back made a substitution. Ovidio Laurentzi replaced Marcelo Trobbiani. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Veiga made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Palermo in the 58th minute of play forced Oiteiras's goalkeeper Horacio Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Oiteiras getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Perivaldo Furtado hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén-Darío Feldmann in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horacio Ponc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Rubén-Darío Feldmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Ponc was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Orlando Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Oiteiras booed when Magic is Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aloísio Salgado fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oiteiras's protests and gave Aloísio Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. There was no doubt that Magic is Back were the better team. Magic is Back's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
