But to his dismay, Steen Kløvgaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Gerardo Tanio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SaRaZa's Ismael Franco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Charles Recife in the 13 minute of the game. Mauro Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jóann Pombo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Damaso Mon made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Vitório Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Damaso Mon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Recife in the 20th minute of play. Nova Venécia-ES's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roque Junior in the 22nd minute. After taking down the ball on Nova Venécia-ES's corner Roque Junior fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Damaso Mon quite easily take care of the ball. Damaso Mon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Recife in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davi Lendaa got free with Damaso Mon in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, SaRaZa's Damaso Mon got control of the ball when Vitório Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Benicio Tomi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Nova Venécia-ES's Roque Junior tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jóann Pombo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Barreto was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 36th minute Jóann Pombo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Mon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Lendaa in the 37th minute of play. SaRaZa's Damaso Mon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save SaRaZa from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Lendaa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damaso Mon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Nova Venécia-ES's Mauro Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Tanio in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nova Venécia-ES's Júlio Valladares got a free kick in the 59th minute. Gerardo Tanio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SaRaZa made a substitution. Nunez Medero replaced Juan Cidro. In the 63rd minute Charles Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Mon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Charles Recife sped through SaRaZa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Damaso Mon. Mauro Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Tanio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the match, SaRaZa's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Paranaense came free, but Damaso Mon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jóann Pombo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Mauro Barreto made a huge save. Júlio Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Damaso Mon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Chesus hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
