The Colo-Colo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eladio Escalona should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Maní FC's Pascual Pitin got control of the ball when Rubén Martínez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Maní FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Colo-Colo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
