Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xie Chuan started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Lucrețiu Oroian made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. BATMAN SK's Ümit Orak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC ciufulici! BATMAN SK's Xie Chuan got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 played minutes FC ciufulici got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Comarnescu. In the 27th minute, Claudio Bassani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabin Craia hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Dacian Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xie Chuan in the 30th minute of play. In the 37th minute Xie Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If George Giurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes BATMAN SK got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Cordero. In the 48th minute Lucrețiu Oroian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ümit Orak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucrețiu Oroian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC ciufulici's Sabin Craia got a free kick in the 51st minute. FC ciufulici's Dacian Oravițan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save FC ciufulici from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xie Chuan got free with Dacian Oravițan in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ümit Orak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Covaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Lucrețiu Oroian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BATMAN SK's Ümit Orak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xie Chuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Dacian Oravițan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 played minutes FC ciufulici got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Craia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Covaci in the 76th minute of play forced BATMAN SK's goalkeeper Ümit Orak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, George Giurcă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ümit Orak was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Dacian Oravițan made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Xie Chuan sent off a good shot on target. Sabin Craia hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Xie Chuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dacian Oravițan made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Xie Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. BATMAN SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Xie Chuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Oravițan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BATMAN SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
