The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Nuno during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Natalio Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Goiz in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Bartolo Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes General Tanz II got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Ayala. 16 minutes into the match, General Tanz II's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Goiz came free, but Natalio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Cachilo FC's goalkeeper Roque Dorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaias Laurin. Cachilo FC's Roque Dorio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cachilo FC from getting a goal against them. General Tanz II were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Cachilo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arsenio Peruanton took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Sol in the 34th minute of play forced General Tanz II's goalkeeper Natalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Dorio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arsenio Peruanton showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 46 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolo Goiz was the one to do the kick off. Bartolo Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Arsenio Peruanton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Dorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Peruanton in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Benigno Tonete's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roque Dorio was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Roque Dorio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 94 minutes, Bartolo Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachilo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. General Tanz II had played much better football throughout.
