The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Gartzen got free with Hermínio Penha in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute of the match Grosso United got a corner. Les diables noirs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fikri Bera ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Grosso United's corner Eduardo Gonchan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hermínio Penha quite easily take care of the ball. Les diables noirs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
