Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Astillero del Guayas from getting a goal against them. Long Yuan De didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 24th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Mendy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Long Yuan De read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Ogășanu in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Long Yuan De prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes in the game, Emanuel Ogășanu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Ogășanu in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Long Yuan De saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. Hugo Salz kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Emanuel Ogășanu struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Long Yuan De didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sydney FC. The Sydney FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Astillero del Guayas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
