The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abelardo Macías took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeu Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Green Squad FC were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Plaza Babys CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conrado Pernambucano took the corner. The corner led to Green Squad FC's Gonçalo Maia getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some careless play in the Green Squad FC defense, Yasin Saleh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Sanches. The Green Squad FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Sanches should have stopped the shot. Conrado Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Yasin Saleh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plaza Babys CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Yasin Saleh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilvan Sanches. Green Squad FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yasin Saleh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper Abelardo Macías had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeu Cosme. After some careless play in the Green Squad FC defense, Yasin Saleh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Sanches. The Green Squad FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Sanches should have stopped the shot. Yasin Saleh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Sanches having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Plaza Babys CF's Wen Yu got a free kick in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wen Yu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Plaza Babys CF's Yasin Saleh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 58th minute, Tadeu Cosme made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Macías. Plaza Babys CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Yasin Saleh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Sanches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Plaza Babys CF made a substitution. Elisardo Campomanes replaced Roi Morales. A sloppy throw-in by Damaso Rivas in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Plaza Babys CF's Aļģis Engers. Green Squad FC's Gilvan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasin Saleh in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Yasin Saleh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Plaza Babys CF got a corner. Green Squad FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matia De Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Plaza Babys CF's corner Matia De Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilvan Sanches quite easily take care of the ball. Tadeu Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute Tadeu Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Macías saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Gilvan Sanches successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 84 minutes into the match, Plaza Babys CF's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Cosme came free, but Abelardo Macías reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pietro Echavarri's late challenge caught a Green Squad FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pietro Echavarri helped the player get up and apologised. Jessie Pinkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Macías having to interfere. Abelardo Macías showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Yasin Saleh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 95 in the game by Wen Yu from a close distance when the talented Gilvan Sanches managed to make a qualified save. Green Squad FC's players were relieved. Chants of Plaza Babys CF echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Green Squad FC had held the ball for most of the match.
