Jairo Dante started the match with the kick off. Nuno Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Dante went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the game, SAO JOANENSE FC's Luisinho Netto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Pais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 11 minutes into the game, Alessandro Meirelles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Nuno Pais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nuno Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Luisinho Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Pais having to interfere. Jairo Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisinho Netto scored 0-4 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Pais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jairo Dante scored 0-5 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Pais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The attack was good, but when Jairo Dante in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 37th minute, Horácio Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Luisinho Netto sped through DPD FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nuno Pais. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Netto in the 44th minute of play forced DPD FC's goalkeeper Nuno Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half SAO JOANENSE FC were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Setúbal to strike the kick off in the second half. DPD FC's Nuno Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Dante in the 54th minute of play. Nuno Pais was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Jairo Dante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jairo Dante really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. 61 minutes into the match, Luisinho Netto notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of DPD FC's Nuno Pais. Nuno Pais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jairo Setúbal charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Setúbal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to DPD FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jairo Setúbal hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, SAO JOANENSE FC's Alessandro Meirelles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nuno Pais. Nuno Pais yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. Jairo Setúbal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horácio Alcântara hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when SAO JOANENSE FC's Jairo Dante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-15 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jairo Dante took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Pais. Nuno Pais dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-16. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Dante in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Pais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Pais having to interfere. In the 98th minute, DPD FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luisinho Netto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the final whistle sounded SAO JOANENSE FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DPD FC.
